Mladost – the newest property pearl of Sofia
What to know what is the big hit of the property market of Sofia? It’s “Mladost”! So, what is “Mladost”? “Mladost” is an urban municipality in Sofia. It is among the most modern and fast developing areas of Sofia and is a good place for investment.
“Mladost” is located in the east side of Sofia. It has a flourishing economy. The unemployment in the municipality is 4,2%. There are two industrial and scientific zones, “Iztok” and “Gorublyane”. “Iztok” has an area specialized in the production of electronics, machinery and press industry. The other zone is located near to the “Gorublyane”. There are food-processing factories and an Institute of Brewery and Hops Production.
The service sector is very important. There are 11 hypermarkets (Metro, Kaufland, Billa, Praktiker, Technopolis, Technomarket and others); several trade centers; many office buildings, supermarkets and different automobile dealerships such as Toyota, BMW, Volvo, Opel. Several business centers are planned or under construction.
The roads on the territory of the municipality are generally in a good condition. The public transport includes bus and trolley lines as well as fixed route taxis. A great improvement to the transport system is expected with the extension of the Sofia Metro in 2009, which will ease the communications with the central and western neighborhoods of the city. If you have a car, the center is only 15 minutes away. The airport is also very close – 10 to 15 minutes.
But what really is the big deal about “Mladost”? Business Park Sofia located in one of the neighborhoods. There are located the offices of the most big (and rich) companies in Sofia. Big part of the well paid citizens of Sofia work there. And what a better place to live than next to their office, in a municipality with great infrastructure, 15 min with car from the center of the city and the airport? So the paradise for the well-paid working man has only one name – “Mladost”.
